As a graduate of El Segundo High School and a former baseball ballplayer I have the privilege to organize, coach, and play in the Annual Alumni game. This year the game will be played at 1:00pm on Saturday May 15. As always we will play at John Stevenson Field (also known as Recreation Park) El Segundo.
This year is a very special year as we will present a plaque honoring our long-time coach, Coach John Stevenson who passed away in January of this year. Coach Stevenson coached high school baseball for over 50 years. He also coached other sports at the high school. He accumalated approximately 1052 victories during his outstanding baseball coaching career. This ranks number one in the state of California. Throughout the country he is ranked at approximately 6th. This is truly an amazing accomplishment.
Please come out and enjoy this day with us and also join us at the Stick & Stein Restaurant in El Segundo after the game for refreshments.
